Project Name:“Are all humans human? Or are some more human than others?” – An Afternoon with General DallaireGeneral Dallaire will speak with 60 students from all 8 high schools (540 students in total) about diversity, global citizenship and community leadership.
Each of the students will be asked to write 1-2 pages detailing how it impacted them. They will also be asked to perform 5 hours of work towards a global citizenship project. ASD-N will log these on their district web page.
Teachers will be challenged to start an “Umuganda” (citizenship) club in their schools. They will be offered $200 each to jumpstart.
