The goal is to develop a culturally responsive and accommodating school community. The objective is “Ensuring all learners value diversity and have a strong sense of belonging” (NB 10 Year Education Plan).
To achieve this objective staff and students will plan to: create periodic activities to learn about different cultures; participate in school cultural festivities; have and celebrate international day of diversity; design and make diversity friendly message cards/stories; make cultural ornaments through Arts & Crafts.
Accomplishing these targets will help everyone within the school learn and gain more awareness and eliminate or solve problems relating to cultural misconceptions and stereotyping. Morning announcements in various languages. Provide rewards to motivate students’ interest in participating in all activities.
